Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Boffo platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our service. These terms apply to all users, including founders, companies, and other individuals who access the platform.

Boffo is a demand validation engine for startup ideas. Our service includes: AI-powered viability analysis based on VC metrics; retrieval-augmented generation using third-party data sources; automated prototype creation for user testing; demand testing with curated user panels; and reporting on willingness-to-pay and market viability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

You must create an account to access Boffo. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You retain all ownership rights to the startup ideas and content you submit to Boffo. By submitting content, you grant Boffo a limited, non-exclusive license to process your submission for the purpose of providing the validation service. We do not claim ownership of your ideas. We will not commercialize, publish, or disclose your specific submitted ideas to third parties without your consent, except as required by law. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle submitted ideas.

You may not use Boffo to: submit ideas that infringe third-party intellectual property rights; attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape our AI models or datasets; upload malicious content or attempt to compromise our systems; use the service to validate ideas that promote illegal activity; or resell or sublicense access to the platform without written consent. Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination.

Boffo's validation reports are based on AI analysis and third-party data signals. They are intended to provide founders with data-informed perspective, not a guarantee of business success or investment outcomes. Reports reflect conditions at the time of generation and may become outdated. Boffo does not provide financial, legal, or investment advice. Validation reports should be one input among many in business decision-making. We are not liable for business decisions made based on our reports.

Certain features of Boffo require paid subscriptions or one-time payments. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees. All fees are stated in USD and are non-refundable unless otherwise specified or required by applicable law. We may change our pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use of paid features after notice constitutes acceptance of new pricing.

The Boffo platform, including our software, AI models, datasets, UI, and branding, is owned by Boffo Technologies Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited license to use the service as described herein.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boffo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Boffo in the six months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

We may update these Terms of Service. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
